WE NEED YOU!

Hello parents,
Teachers are in the process of planning our annual Track and Field Days at John Stubbs on May 8th and May 9th! We need your help to run these events. We are hoping to host events for students in Grades 3, 4, and 5. Students will be trained in the events prior to competition day.

The events will include:
100m 400m 800m Long Jump Shot Put/Ball Throw

The PAC is generously providing ribbons for the top athletes in each category and all participants. We use the same categories that Grades 4 and 5 students will experience at the District Track Meet on June 7th. This event will be used as a try-out for track and field team, should students choose to join.

We need your help to run these events!

Classes are scheduled to rotate through events over the two days. There is a Google Doc link below for anyone who is willing to volunteer their time to make this event possible. We recognize that many parents work therefore we have broken down volunteer sections into short time commitment blocks to make the event as inclusive as possible. If you are free for the entire day(s) you can add your name into multiple slots. The slots are broken down into events, grades, and times. If you are available for more than one block, it will be easiest if you sign up for the same job throughout the day. Please make sure not to add your name more than once per time slot.

Thank you all so much in advance for your help to make this amazing opportunity possible for our students!
