Jersey day – We encourage students to wear their sports jerseys, or the colours green and gold today to show support of those who have lost loved ones, family members, friends and teammates in Humboldt, Saskatchewan.

Kids’ Art Cards – please see below, order deadline is Thursday, April 12th.

Friday, April 13th – Grade 5 Lunch Monitor Appreciation Swim at JDF Pool.

Thursday, April 19th – Early Dismissal, school ends at 11:48 a.m. Buses will run on the same schedule, 3 hours earlier.

Friday, April 20th – Non-Instructional Day – school is not in session.
Kids’ Art Cards Spring 2018 – Deadline for ordering is Thursday, April 12th.

Sample cards have been sent home. Orders and payment are due by midnight on THURSDAY, APRIL 12th. For your convenience, payments can be made on the hot lunches site, however, order cards must also be returned to the school office.  Orders will not be processed without sample cards returned.

Save the date! Our Spring Fair will take place on Thursday, May 3rd from 4:30pm-7:30pm. There will be a craft and vendor market held in the elementary gym and if you wish to book a table please complete the VENDOR APPLICATION attached and return it to the office as soon as possible. On Saturday, May 5th, Belmont Secondary will be hosting the ‘Taking Action’ Leadership Conference. This is a great opportunity for youth to engage with community leaders, and learn more about the issues facing their communities. MP Alistair MacGregor will be the event’s keynote speaker, while other presenters include guests from organizations such as Our Place, Education is Power, and Island Sexual Health.If you and your students are interested in attending, please fill out the attached Google form, or visit belmontleadershipconference.weebly.com. PACE Musical Theatre Presents…..“The Greatest Show!”Are you looking for an evening of music and comedy that the whole family can enjoy?       Then don’t miss the SD 62 PACE Musical Theatre production THE GREATEST SHOW! , April 20-28 at the Isabelle Reader Theatre.

This fast-paced and comedic musical revue includes songs from the The Greatest Showman, Cats, Grease, Hamilton, Harry Potter, Descendants, Motown and SO MUCH MORE!!!!   Featuring nearly 300 PACE Musical Theatre Academy students, this show is guaranteed to be a crowd-pleaser!

And as a BONUS …… this show includes 3 guest PACE Alumni performers: Disney/tv/film star, CALUM WORTHY (Dez from Austin and Ally) is flying in from LA to be the MC for the shows.   He will be joined in his MC role by stand-up comedian SHAWN O’HARA. Circus star, SARAH SCHEUNHAGE, will perform on a free-standing aerial hoop in one of The Greatest Showman songs.

The PACE Musical Theatre Academy students have the unique opportunity to work with accomplished professionals in their final rehearsal weeks. This year is no exception. In addition to having Calum as an acting coach for the comedic segments, Sarah has trained all of the acrobatic performers in the Greatest Showman set at her circus school. The entire gr. 8-12 cast in Cats have been choreographed by Sarah Murphy and Jennifer Sanders, and coached by Phil and Jane Devonshire – who both performed for five years in the British West End production of Cats.
